Baseball Game Preview: Bradenton Christian Panthers vs. Northside Christian Mustangs

Bradenton Christian is 0-9 against Northside Christian since March of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will challenge the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bradenton Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Keswick Christian get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Not much got past Garrett Duquette, who gave up just three hits to keep Keswick Christian off the board. Duquette has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bradenton Christian's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Holland Hume, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Hume a new career-high. Another was Matthew Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian waltzed into their game on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the BlueJackets 18-0. That looming 18-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

Donovan Fox looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Luke Anderson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Elijah De La Concha was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Northside Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Admiral Farragut only posted an OBP of .062.

Bradenton Christian now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Northside Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
