Wheeler wins going away against Victory Christian Academy

The Wheeler Bearcats entered their tilt with the Victory Christian Academy Lions with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Wheeler's way against Victory Christian Academy on Thursday as Wheeler made off with a 34-11 win. That 34-11 margin sets a new team best for Wheeler this season.
Wheeler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Izabela Schumacher, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds. Ava Lukawski was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Wheeler's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Wheeler will head out on the road to face off against Lake Station Edison at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Station Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Wheeler likes a good challenge. Victory Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calumet Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Calumet Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday.
