Soccer Recap: Vidalia Comes Up Short

Vidalia fell victim to Savannah Country Day and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Vidalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Savannah Country Day are ranked 35th).

Vidalia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. The win (which was Savannah Country Day's sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Vidalia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Toombs County at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Savannah Country Day, they will take on Savannah Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
