Baseball Recap: Lamar Thunder vs. Platte Valley Broncos
With a playoff game on the line, Lamar rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Platte Valley Broncos out 6-4. Winning may never get old, but Lamar sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ryan Harbour was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
Lamar pushed their record up to 16-8 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Platte Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
As of now, neither Lamar nor Platte Valley have any future games scheduled.
