Basketball Recap: Ogallala Takes a Loss

Ogallala suffered their closest loss since December 31, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Broken Bow by a score of 50-47. Ogallala was not able to make up for their defeat to Broken Bow from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ogallala saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aniston O'Neil posted 16 points and seven boards. Addison Slama was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 13 points.

Ogallala has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Broken Bow, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

Ogallala wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-62 victory against Gothenburg on the 11th. As for Broken Bow, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-40 win against Ord on the 11th.
