Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Kouts' Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Kouts's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Township Senators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Senators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Despite the loss, Kouts still got an impressive performance from Cash Terpstra, who had 26 digs. Terpstra is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Kouts' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Washington Township, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kouts will head out to challenge Illiana Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington Township, they will venture away from home to square off against Boone Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Senators surely won't give up without a fight.
