Preview: Frankton Eagles vs. Oak Hill Golden Eagles
The Frankton Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Hill Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Frankton is ranked 115th, while Oak Hill is ranked 126th).
Last Tuesday, Frankton beat Wapahani 57-48. The victory was just what Frankton needed coming off of a 56-32 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 49-37 victory over Wabash. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 17 to ten on the offensive boards, as Oak Hill did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Hill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landri Hardman, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Hardman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alivia Shaw, who scored ten points.
Frankton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. Oak Hill's record now sits at 8-4.
Frankton strolled past Oak Hill when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 52-34. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Oak Hill's Melissa Kluevein, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Now that she won't be playing on Saturday, will it be that much easier for Frankton to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
