Volleyball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Unity Reed on Wednesday, Independence came back down to earth. Independence fell just short of the Patriot Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Patriot this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 2nd.

Independence couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Patriot a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 30-32, 25-13, 15-12.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Patriot, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Independence will square off against rival Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Patriot is set to face off against their familiar foe Battlefield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
