Flag Football Recap: El Capitan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for El Capitan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 22-12 win over the Valhalla Norsemen on Tuesday.

Kylee Frazier had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 147 yards and one TD on only nine carries, while also throwing for 259 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 147 rushing yards gave her a new career-high.

El Capitan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ravan Haizlip and Emma Carranza. Another thorn in Valhalla's side was Audra Guillory, who picked up three sacks and made four total tackles.

El Capitan's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.0 points on average over those games. As for Valhalla, they moved to 5-8-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

El Capitan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Norsemen: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
