Notre Dame came tearing into Monday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Trenton Central Tornadoes 10-1. Considering the Irish have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

James Duffy looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Joseph Banco and Connor Dunn did most of the damage at the plate: Banco went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Dunn got on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Canale, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Notre Dame's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trenton Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Notre Dame will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tornadoes: the pair will be back at it again later today.
