Volleyball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

Oak Hill was the 3-1 winner over Manchester when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Squires by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Oak Hill actually scored more points across those five sets (97-88), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 11-25, 12-25, 15-10.

Brianna Dailey paced Oak Hill's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dailey got some help from Kora Weller and her 17 assists. Londyn Frank controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Manchester got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marysa Stroud out in front who had nine digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Stroud a new career-high.

Oak Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Manchester, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Oak Hill has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Wabash on the 23rd. As for Manchester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Twin Lakes on the 23rd.
