Basketball Recap: Two Eagle River Comes Up Short

Two Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Plains Horsemen 61-12. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Emma Spotted Eagle and Lexis Sparks, who each put up four points. Sparks also led the team in rebounds with eight.

Two Eagle River's loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Two Eagle River will be home for the holidays to greet Heart Butte at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plains, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-36 victory against Troy on the 14th.
