Softball Recap: Homestead Has No Trouble Against Miami

Homestead won the last time they faced Miami and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Stingarees. Considering the Broncos have won five matches by more than 14 runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jaelyn Cisneros, who fired off two home runs, three stolen bases, and four runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (four). Another player making a difference was Deanna Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Homestead was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .815. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Homestead is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.8 runs over those games. As for Miami, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4.

Homestead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miami, they will take on Reagan at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
