Volleyball Recap: Westminster Schools of Augusta Falls to Augusta E in First Game of Season

Westminster Schools of Augusta kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Augusta E Eagles by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Westminster Schools of Augusta took Augusta E into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 16-14.

Augusta E is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Westminster Schools of Augusta will head out to challenge Wardlaw Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Augusta E, they will host Veritas Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
