Baseball Recap: Cathedral City Lions vs. Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles

Cathedral City hadn't beaten Desert Hot Springs on the road since March 22, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Lions walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Golden Eagles. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 11-7 victory on Monday.

Moses Tinajero was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
