We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. South Summit is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
South Summit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 51-50 photo finish over Carbon. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

It was another big night for Emma Broadbent, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 21 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in each of the last 48 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Mariah Bowen, who posted 18 points along with six assists and four steals.
South Summit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Richfield beat Union 51-46 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
South Summit better keep an eye on Abbee Albrecht. She was instrumental in Richfield's win, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Albrecht a new career-high in blocks (seven). Katie Anderson was another key player, going 5-for-7 on her way to 12 points.
South Summit's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Richfield, their record is now 14-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: South Summit has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Richfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge on Monday.
South Summit took a serious blow against Richfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, falling 57-24. Can South Summit avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
