Basketball Recap: Burkeville Takes a Loss

Burkeville lost against Spurger back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Burkeville Mustangs took a blow against the Spurger Pirates, falling 68-36. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burkeville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Spurger, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Burkeville and Covenant Christian will round out the year against one another at at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Spurger, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Goodrich at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Spurger is facing Goodrich at the right time seeing as Goodrich is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
