Softball Recap: Narragansett Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Narragansett won the last time they faced Rogers and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mariners blew past the Vikings 13-3. The Mariners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Narragansett is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Rogers, they moved to 8-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Narragansett will challenge Tiverton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Mariners surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rogers, they will face off against Times Squared Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
