Somerset Academy Central Miramar took a serious blow against the Chiefs on Tuesday, falling 65-21. Having soared to a lofty 64 points in the game before, Somerset Academy Central Miramar couldn't push the score so high this time.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Auguste, who scored six points.
Carol City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Decurtis Johnson, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikaili Taylor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Carol City, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the at 4:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Carol City, they will take on the Bears at TBD on Tuesday.
