Recap: Park View Patriots vs. John Champe Knights
The Park View Patriots lost against the John Champe Knights back in September of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Park View took a serious blow against John Champe, falling 64-7. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Park View in their matchups with John Champe: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead John Champe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Plush, who threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Clark, who rushed for 89 yards and three touchdowns.
Park View's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for John Champe, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Park View will be playing at home against Loudoun County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Loudoun County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Park View in Virginia (Loudoun County is ranked 88th, while Park View is ranked 306th). As for John Champe, they will head out on the road to face off against Broad Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
