Adams City has gone 8-2 against Aurora Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Adams City Eagles will head out to square off against the Aurora Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Adams City took a blow against Skyview, falling 64-25. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Wolverines are ranked 71st).

Despite the loss, Adams City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mukundo Abdikadir posted four points.

Meanwhile, Aurora Central strolled past Gateway with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-29.

Adams City has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which is still a better percentage than their 4-14 record this season. As for Aurora Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Adams City, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-21 loss to Aurora Central in their previous matchup back in January. Can Adams City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
