Recap: Turlock Christian Eagles vs. Stone Ridge Christian Knights

The Turlock Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Stone Ridge Christian 93-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Turlock Christian in their matchups with Stone Ridge Christian: they've now lost five in a row.

Loss or not, Turlock Christian got some senior leadership from Raphael Babba and Ben Bylsma. Babba scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Bylsma. scored 21 points along with two steals. That was a full 35.8% of Turlock Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Turlock Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Stone Ridge Christian pulled down 17 offensive rebounds.

It was another big night for Brock Richards, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 13 rebounds for Stone Ridge Christian. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richards has scored all season. Daijon O?neil was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Turlock Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turlock Christian will take on Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will be playing at home against Elliot Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elliot Christian has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
