Softball Game Preview: Orion Chargers vs. Sherrard Tigers

Orion hasn't had much luck against Sherrard recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Orion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Orion came up short against Mercer County and fell 8-4. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lainey Kunert, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Khloe Nelson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Sherrard unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Rockridge by a score of 6-5.

Makenzy Moran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Nadia Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Sherrard's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Orion, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
