Baseball Recap: Windsor Drops Season-High Score on Rodriguez

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor). They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Rodriguez Mustangs on Wednesday. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Gavin Restad was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Jaydon Metzger also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Windsor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rodriguez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Coming up, Windsor will venture away from home to challenge Rancho Cotate at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rodriguez, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Vanden on the 3rd.
