Volleyball Game Preview: Rio Americano Raiders vs. Christian Brothers Falcons

The Rio Americano Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Christian Brothers Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rio Americano lost 3-0 to Inderkum on Monday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rio Americano took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-23.

Rio Americano's defeat came about despite a quality game from Adam Wixom, who had 13 assists and six digs.

Meanwhile, Christian Brothers waltzed into their matchup two weeks ago with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 3-1.

Christian Brothers had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-17.

Christian Brothers' victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Rio Americano, their loss dropped their record down to 13-16.

Rio Americano might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Christian Brothers when the teams last played back in March. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
