Softball Recap: East Jessamine's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

East Jessamine not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 8th. They blew past the Western Hills Wolverines 8-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Remi Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, Alex Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Kylee Oliver was another key player, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4.

East Jessamine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Hills only posted a batting average of .240.

East Jessamine's record now sits at 3-6. As for Western Hills, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

East Jessamine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-9 loss against Anderson County on the 27th. As for Western Hills, they have also already played their next game, a 14-11 victory against Madison Southern on the 25th.
