Volleyball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield lost against McPherson back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullpups.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Winfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paisley Curtis had seven digs and three aces.

Winfield has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-24 record this season. As for McPherson, their win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-6.

Winfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McPherson, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Augusta on the 16th.
