Baseball Recap: Pinecrest Victorious

Pinecrest won the last time they faced Union Pines and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Patriots walked away with a 4-1 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Bohdi Robertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mitch Baek was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Union Pines, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Pinecrest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
