Volleyball Recap: Academy for Academic Excellence Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Academy for Academic Excellence extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Colbie Tworek. The Knights blew past the Aquinas Falcons 3-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Tworek, who had six digs, five kills, and three aces. Tworek is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Academy for Academic Excellence walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-16.

Academy for Academic Excellence's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Aquinas, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Academy for Academic Excellence will host Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aquinas, they will head out to face off against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
