Softball Recap: Celeste Finds Playoff Glory Versus Trenton

Celeste had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Trenton Tigers by a score of 6-1 on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won four matches in a row.

Madilen Fronterhouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Celeste's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jada Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Celeste's record now sits at 20-8. As for Trenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
