Basketball Recap: Perham Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Perham extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kaia Anderson. The Perham Yellowjackets breezed by the Crookston Pirates to the tune of 68-41 on Tuesday thanks in part to Anderson, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 29 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Her evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Sophie Nelson was another key player, putting up four points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Perham has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Crookston, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perham will venture away from home to take on Detroit Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Crookston has already played their next game (against Thief River Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
