Basketball Game Preview: Tri-County Penguins vs. Rio Vikings

The Tri-County Penguins will face off against the Rio Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rio took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tri-County, who comes in off a win.

Tri-County will bounce into Monday's match after beating Wild Rose, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Tri-County walked away with a 55-42 victory over Wild Rose on Friday. The Penguins' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, Rio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-17 loss at the hands of Markesan. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Tri-County and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Rio, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
