Volleyball Recap: Bishop Miege Takes a Loss

Bishop Miege was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds. The Stags were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Bishop Miege was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring zero points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Addy Handlin paced Bishop Miege's offense, picking up nine kills. Handlin got some help from Maryn Dean and her 15 assists.

Bishop Miege's loss dropped their record down to 5-23. As for Shawnee Heights, they pushed their record up to 19-16 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Bishop Miege has already played their next matchup, a 0-0 tie against Blue Valley on the 18th. Shawnee Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
