Baseball Game Preview: Central Wildcats vs. Randolph School Raiders

The Central Wildcats will head out to take on the Randolph School Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

It was a proper cat-fight when Central challenged Lauderdale County on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Randolph School came up short against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy on Monday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jackson Weglage was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Randolph School, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Central might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Randolph School in their previous matchup back in March of 2018. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
