Basketball Recap: Blountstown skates past Cottondale with ease

The Blountstown Tigers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Cottondale 57-17 on the road on Monday. The victory was nothing new for Blountstown as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Leading Blountstown to victory were Cyianna Smith and Jill Davis. Smith scored 15 points, while Davis scored 16 points. Davis is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jalynn Copeland, who scored nine points.

Blountstown's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Cottondale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Blountstown will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty County is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. Cottondale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
