Eustis hadn't done well against Apopka recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 4-1 win over the Blue Darters. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 12-4 victory the Blue Darters walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Braeden Barnes, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Eustis has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs this season. As for Apopka, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Eustis and Apopka will both be playing Lake Minneola the next time they take the field. The Blue Darters will head out to face the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
