Foothill barely beat El Dorado the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Foothill Knights' way against the El Dorado Golden Hawks on Monday as the Foothill Knights made off with a 7-0 victory. That looming 7-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Kyle Telson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, AJ Nagler was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Ezekiel Vargas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Dorado only posted an OBP of .276.

Foothill pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for El Dorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will host Villa Park at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for El Dorado, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Modena at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
