Football Game Preview: La Vega Pirates vs. West Orange-Stark Mustangs + How To Watch

La Vega is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 33-6 victory over La Marque. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won eight matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

One reason for the win was La Vega's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Jayce Wiley refused to say out of the backfield, picking up three sacks all by himself. La Vega got some further help from Wiley: he picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but West Orange-Stark ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Sealy by a score of 35-28. 35 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

West Orange-Stark's win came from a few key players La Vega will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Khelvy Jefferson, who rushed for 135 yards and three TDs. Jefferson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 135 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Kwalin Dugas, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown.

La Vega's record now sits at 11-2. As for West Orange-Stark, their record is now 10-3.
