Baseball Preview: Danville Ironmen vs. Lewisburg Green Dragons        
        
		
            
 The Danville Ironmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lewisburg Green Dragons at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Danville's favor as the  squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lewisburg has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
 Danville is headed into the  match fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. They blew past Midd-West 17-9. Danville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by seven  runs or more this season.
  Wyatt Shultz was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Shultz has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances. Shultz was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with three  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news, Danville got a  massive  performance out of  Matt Acor, who  scored three  runs while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lincoln Diehl, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  game, but Lewisburg had to settle for  a  12-11 loss against Mifflinburg on Monday.
 Lewisburg got a  massive  performance out of  Landen Wagner, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.  Xavier Carter was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.
 Danville's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Lewisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
Lewisburg's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  Danville has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 9.3  hits per game. It's a different story for Lewisburg, though, as  they've been averaging 8.8. Given Danville's sizable advantage in that area, Lewisburg will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Danville beat Lewisburg 10-6  when the teams last played  on April 5th. Will Danville repeat their success,  or does  Lewisburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
