Football Recap: Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Tehani Shigematsu. The Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate put the hurt on the Moapa Valley Pirates with a sharp 37-14 win on Friday thanks in part to Shigematsu, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 193 yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rushing yards.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Shigematsu and Maya Nisson.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.1 points per game. As for Moapa Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.
