Basketball Recap: Gracyn Musick's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian over Twin Lakes

Faith Christian lost against Twin Lakes back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Faith Christian Eagles fell 45-37 to the Twin Lakes Indians. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gracyn Musick, who posted 11 points and three steals. Musick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattea Maggio, who earned 15 points.

Twin Lakes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addyson Hines out in front who had 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hines a new career-high in boards. Taylor Oliver was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Twin Lakes, they moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Faith Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-47 loss against Benton Central on the 3rd. As for Twin Lakes, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Twin Lakes is facing Frontier at the right time seeing as Frontier is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
