Softball Game Preview: Round Lake Panthers vs. Antioch Sequoits

Round Lake is on a 15-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Antioch a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Round Lake Panthers will be playing at home against the Antioch Sequoits at 4:45 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Round Lake's offense. They lost 15-0 to Harvard on Monday.

St. Charles North hit Antioch with a four-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Sequoits came up short against the North Stars, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sequoits have suffered since April 3rd.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Round Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Round Lake might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Antioch when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
