Volleyball Recap: Brusly Comes Up Short

If Brusly was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tara last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Episcopal Knights by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Brusly sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 16-25, 25-17, 17-25, 15-13.

Brusly's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Episcopal, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Coming up, Brusly will be playing in front of their home fans against Plaquemine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Episcopal, they will challenge Dutchtown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
