Soccer Recap: Auburndale Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Auburndale walked away with it. They never let the Lecanto Panthers onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bloodhounds, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Lecanto with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Mulling, Alaney Hancock, and Layla Williams.

Auburndale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those six matches. As for Lecanto, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-4-1 record.

Auburndale will head out on the road to square off against Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Auburndale likes a good challenge. Lecanto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
