Cobre entered their tilt with Socorro on Saturday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cobre took every set by at least 18 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-3, 25-6.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 21 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 31 assists. Keira Aguirre controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cobre's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Socorro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
