While River City's victory against Rio Americano wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. River City won by a run and slipped past Rio Americano 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win River City has posted since May 2, 2024.

Emily Sauceda was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Alexia Menke was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

River City's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Rio Americano, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, River City will welcome Folsom at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rio Americano, they will take on Argonaut in a tournament on Thursday.
