Volleyball Recap: Sareyah Hinojoz and Makayla Levario Secure Win for Compass Academy

Compass Academy won the last time they faced Crane and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Cranes with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-20.

Leading Compass Academy to victory were Makayla Levario and Sareyah Hinojoz. Levario had five aces and four digs, while Hinojoz had six digs. Those five aces gave Levario a new career-high.

Compass Academy's victory bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Crane, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Compass Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Brownfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crane will square off against rival Coahoma at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
