Skaneateles has gone a perfect 6-0 against Mexico recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Skaneateles: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Mexico has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Skaneateles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2024 (when they won 16-3). They blew past Jordan-Elbridge 9-2. The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Sean Olley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Olley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.

In other batting news, Shea Musso was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Torin Bennett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Mexico's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 17-7 to Cortland.

Mexico's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Skaneateles, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Skaneateles took their win against Mexico in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
