Central never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Calhoun Tigers with a sharp 7-0 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Calhoun, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
