Holy Cross strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Palmyra Panthers with a sharp 28-6 win. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Holy Cross can attribute much of their success to Christian Shio, who rushed for 87 yards and one score.

Holy Cross didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Vincent Gilliam and Shio. Patrick Klepp was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Palmyra, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Holy Cross is set to face off against their familiar foe Buena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Palmyra will square off against rival KIPP Cooper Norcross on Saturday.
